CLUCKS is a part of the PCOV site that allows members to create a user profile and join groups, post items to sell in the marketplace, post to the members blog, and make friends and network on a platform that is open and promotes the agricultural community without limitations on other social media platforms.
How do I create a profile?
On the right side menu, under CB Login, you'll see a link to register. Click that link and fill out the information first, then check your email. An email from Pet Chickens of Virginia (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) will be in your Inbox (check your spam filter if you don't see it). Click the link in the email to verify your email address, and then an admin will approve your membership once you have verified your email. Once you've been approved, you can log in and use the Members Menu in the right side menu to update your CLUCKS profile. You can upload a header (canvas) image and an avatar (profile) picture there, and add any additional information you would like.
You can also add friends by clicking on the CLUCKS Member List link in the right side menu. By adding friends through "Request Connection" you can share stories, add your friends to groups, and send private messages through a secure platform.
Your information will always be protected through the PCOV privacy policy and is maintained by SSL security.
What are groups?
Groups on CLUCKS are just like the PCOV Facebook groups, but without the limitations on what can be shared and added. You can create a group for your local swap, for breeders of specific types of birds, or whatever you'd like. Anyone on the CLUCKS platform can join your group and participate. You can also create events in your groups for swaps or other events. When you create events, they are not public though and cannot be seen by anyone that isn't a member of CLUCKS. What are forums?
Forums are publicly viewable discussions that anyone can view, but only CLUCKS members can participate in. This is a great area to talk about anything that might be helpful for new chicken owners, or to engage in PCOV's favorite gameshow "Hen or Roo?" The forums are searchable on the site and through Google.
How do I list something in the Marketplace?
On the right side menu under the Marketplace heading there is a link to "Create Listing." You will need to choose the category that you want to list your items, services, or advertise your business in before adding text or images to the listing.
